Hello! My name is Marta Grabowska. I am a PhD Candidate at the London School of Economics (2022-26). My supervisors are Professor Mylène Lagarde and Dr Ranjeeta Thomas.

My work is in behavioural and development economics. My research focuses on what people in LMICs believe in relation to health, if we can change incorrect beliefs, and if changing these beliefs leads to behaviour change and ultimately improves health outcomes. To study these topics, I conduct randomised trials of interventions which I designed, or through ongoing evaluations of programmes run by key NGO partners. You can read more about my research here.

Previously, I was a researcher and group manager of the Mind and Behaviour Research Group at the Centre for the Study of African Economies in Oxford.

Outside of research, my life is mostly spent hiking, knitting, and following Formula 1. I am also passionate about mentorship and have participated in several campaigns for improving wellbeing and mental health for staff and students in academia.
