This course introduces students to different ways in which evidence is generated and can be used to inform health policy. The course focuses on the role of research and theory in health policy analysis, including advantages and disadvantages of different approaches to health policy research. Students critically evaluate evidence hierarchies used by governments and health policy organizations and learn to formulate policy conclusions based on a critical assessment of health policy research.
